| Children's Ministry
I am one of the teachers in the Toddler class on
Sundays at our church and I also oversee the Nursery through Pre-K classes. On
top of that I am a Mom and have to juggle what little time I do have, very
wisely. I love that with KT, I can build into the teachers that love the kids
at our church - all from home or wherever.
We've been using Kingdom Tools in Children's Ministry for a
couple years, and I love it. With Kingdom Tools, I can
- Report
from home and find out how the classes I am over are doing: we track
attendance, which helps me see who is coming and who hasn't been in a
while. Whenever one of our regular kids is out, we have KT email a
personalized newsletter to them. I also print it out and mail it to their
home, since everyone love getting mail.
- Delegate
tasks to my team and manage what is/isn't getting done: after our
monthly meetings we typically end up with a list of action items that I
delegate to the team. I manage the progress of these tasks with KT.
- Keep
teachers involved! Kingdom Tools remind my Sunday school teachers of when
they are scheduled to work: this is a biggie! Once a month I schedule all
the teachers using the KT internal calendar, then KT sends a reminder to
each of the workers. Very helpful.
- Keep
our team aware via our private calendars-all involved can login and
view when they are scheduled to work.
- Upload
curriculum to Children's Ministry own file repository. It's a central
place where we can securely upload and exchange files. Some of the files
include a children's worship song we may want to do that Sunday, and on
files like that I typically only allow my lead teachers to access those.
- Keep
our website current and relevant. I am not a programmer by
any stretch of the imagination, but yet I regularly and easily update the
Children's Ministry website! Between a couple of other teachers and
myself, the CM website is always up to date, it makes those with children
feel welcome, and is looking great.
- Promote
events that are important to us- if we have an event that involves the
church community, we have the KT website promote it for us, and sometimes
I use KT to design and send personalized, custom mail pieces
